Erik Satie's
Vexations
 |
John Cage was the first composer to present a performance of
Erik Satie's Vexations, a short piano piece played
840 times! As part of the BMC Celebration a team of eight pianists
will perform the work in the band room of the P.E. Mauney
music building over a period of 14 hours. Vexations is also being broadcast
live over the campus television station. The public is
invited to "drop in" for the performance and/or watch it
throughout the day from televisions placed in various campus
locations. |
